How can I bring in sound from a cassette to my PB so I can burn it to cd? My Mom wants to save her wedding to CD so it will last. Any advice would help.

You may have to shop around a little, and then again you might get lucky.
Many Cassette players have audio in- out jacks on them.
This will enable you to transfer to your powerbook.
There are also several different manufactures of audio equipment that will allow you to directly convert from the older technology to the new.
You might want to check at Best Buy. Comp USA. Microcenter.
or any of the other Electronics stores out there, Like I said you may have to look around a little but they are out there... Cheers Don

Try and find a cassette player with line out, which is usally 2 x phono sockets then connect to minijack Line in on PB, you may need a lead from tandy/radioshack, then use garageband/quicktime pro/imovie/free ripper to record sound, then use quicktime pro to convert to mp3 or similar and burn disc from itunes. If your cassette does not have line out then use the headphone socket and use a bit of trial and error to get the right level....usallly about 3/4 volume or less, technically the quality will be slightly less than line out but with the noise level on the cassette tape you wont notice! If you use the headphone output you will need a stereo minijack to minijack lead.

    Hope this helps
