  • Can you recommend a thumbnail drive?

I am using two computers: an iMacG5 and a PowerBookG4. I am writing a novel and want to save, add, rewrite copies of my chapters and swap the info between the two computers.
I want a thumbnail drive in case I ever lose Internet service (I usually store my chapters on the web). Since I will use this external drive only for the book (about 200 pages), I don't need something too large.
I already have a LaCie plugged into the desktop, but I want something that I can take with on travels, or if need be,to Kinkos.
What product and capacity do you recommend?
    Thanks!

There's about a million to choose from these days, and the capacity you're talking about would about $10.00 or so.

Look for a 3-pak at that price. Be sure to encrypt for your protection.

Also, while at home, even without the internet, you can wirelessly network between your two machines.

Thanks, Joe. Tell me a little bit more about networking between my two computers, please. I have an AirportExtreme and a LaCie hard drive hooked up to my iMac. Would you recommend I hook up the LaCie to the Airport for wireless networking with my PowerBook, or some other method?
    Thanks!
