for my studdies of the arab language i would like to have a keyboard with arab letters on it.
is there an arab apple keyboard out there?
I didn't see any in the online apple store. but i can't imagine there is none for this part of the world.
please give me any hint.

I love the mac design, and would have loved a usb keyboard from apple, to improve my arab.

I guess i just will try it with my standard keyboard then and just change the layout by software.

My new G5 iMac came with an Arabic keyboard, but then again I bought it in Abu Dhabi. iBooks and PowerBooks sold here in the United Arab Emirates also come with Arabic keyboards.

The Apple resellers here are not particularly energetic, so they may not be responsive to emailed sales inquiries. However there is now an Apple Store (sort of) at the Ibn Batuta Mall in Dubai; the store is attempting to adopt a higher profile. Perhaps you could order an Arabic keyboard from them.

There is definately and Apple original Arabic keyboard. I am not sure how can you get one though since you're not near the Middle East. Maybe you can try the Middle East Apple Store?

Hello,

I am a very new Mac user, and find myself in the same dilemma as yourself. Of the keyboard suppliers, Speedskin comes closest, but what they offer is mainly covers, and mostly for laptops. Covers tend to loosen up and you end up applying pressure on the wrong keys.

I emailed another vendor, Aramedia, and their answer wasn't very helpful either. I am persistenly trying to find out where and how, since somewhere out there is a whole bunch of people typing away at Arabic documents on their Macs.
